China on Alert about Possible Yellow River Flood
According to the Yellow River Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, localities along the 5, 464-kilometer-long River should be fully prepared for the upcoming flood season.
Xiaolangdi Reservoir, Located on the River's mainstream in central China's Henan province, will also join the work, according to the headquarters' arrangement.
Although construction of the reservoir, a strategic project to harness the Yellow River, is yet to be finished, experts believe it could play an important role in flood control with its present conditions.
The Headquarters also requested that hydrological data network to be set up as well.
