World Largest Green Power Plant to Settle in Sichuan

The world largest green power plant will be built in Baima Power Station, Neijing, Sichuan Province. Approved by the State Development Planning Commission, the project will be built into a demonstration base for clean-coal burning technology.

It is reported that the power plant will invest 2 billion yuan to introduce the first large cycling fluid-bed boiler in the world whose evaporating capacity is 1,025 tons per hour. When completed, it will become China's first 300,000-kw clean coal burning technology demonstration base. The project will play an important role in fully exploiting and utilizing the inferior coal resources, especially those in west China, reducing their pollution to the environment, and realizing the coordinated development of economy and environmental protection.
