Sandstorm hit Inner Mongolia Again
A new gale and sandstorm once again hit central and western Inner Mongolia, according to weather forecasts from Huhhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Strong winds were witnessed in most areas of Xilin Gol League and the grasslands were shrouded under a pall of dusts. Most areas in Alxa League and Bayannur League also had a similar weather.
Huhhot will also be affected by a weather of floating dust and sandstorm from May 8, 6pm,experts said. The bad weather will spread to other parts in the region within a few days.
Affected by a strong cold air, from May 7 to 10, most areas in Inner Mongolia will go through a weather of gale and rain from west to east, with a sharp drop of temperature, said Wang Guoqin, a local meteorological official. A 6,7-degree west wind, later in a northwest drive, will hit Alxa League, Xilin Gol League and other leagues, accompanied by floating sand and dust. Serious sandstorm is to be expected in most parts of Xilin Gol League and north Alxa League, Bayannur League and Ulanqab League.
