Chinese State Councillor Li Tieying was awarded the Olympic Order by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Beijing on Friday for his special contribution to the Olympic movement.
Kevan Gosper, the IOC vice president, presented the Olympic Order on behalf of IOC president Juan Antonio Samaranch. And the honors were also awarded to Xu Cai and Xu Yinsheng, both were former vice present of the Chinese State Sports and Physical Education Commission.
The IOC has awarded a total of 19 Chinese figures with the Olympic Orders for their outstanding works to develop the Olympic drive in China.
