Shantou City Reports More ExportsShantou, a special economic zone (SEZ) in south China's Guangdong Province, exported 931 million US dollars of goods in the first quarter of this year, tripling last year's figure.According to statistics, general-trade exports reached 779 million US dollars, accounting for 83.7 percent of the total and representing a year-on-year increase of 681 percent. The city's state-owned enterprises exported commodities worth 717 million US dollars, soaring by 441.2 percent. However, processing-trade exports fell by 22.7 percent to 152 million US dollars. Exports of foreign-funded enterprises also continued to fall. |
