More Air Routes Opened in China

A non-stop air route between Shanghai and New York was recently opened by the Air China and the American Northwest Airlines based on a code-share agreement.

Under the agreement, passengers can buy either company's tickets and enjoy both sides' preferential policies. Therefore, it is beneficial for both sides to further increase their market shares, said an official of the Air China, one of the biggest three airlines in the country.

Meanwhile, Sichuan Airlines, based in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, has also opened six new domestic airlines, including the Chengdu-Jinan-Dalian, Chengdu- Zhangjiajie-Zhuhai, and Chengdu-Shijiazhuang-Shenyang routes.
