Dalian Shipyard, one of China's biggest ship builders, has received a new order for two 46,000-ton oil vessels placed by China Changjiang Shipping Corporation.
This is the second order the ship yard acquired in the new millennium, according to a company official.
One of the oil vessel, 193 meters long and 32.2 meters wide, is expected to be delivered in August next year, he added.
China's ship-building industry has registered a rapid development in the last few years. Dalian New Shipyard alone signed a US$400 million contract to build five 300,000-ton large-scale oil tankers for Iran last year.
