The coastal city of Qidong in east China's Jiangsu Province held a seafood festival recently, attracting over 500 Chinese and foreign businesspeople.
During the two-day festival between April 25 and 26, the local government sponsored various activities to promote investment and trade in industry, agriculture, infrastructure facilities and other sectors.
Twenty-two contracts for overseas-funded projects involving a total investment of 330 million yuan (39.76 million U.S. dollars) have been signed. Twenty-three 23 trade contracts have also been signed, with business volume reaching 136 million yuan (120,482 dollars).
