Ancient House and Tombs Unearthed in North China

Chinese archeologists have discovered a site filled with cultural relics reckoned to be over 2,200 years old in Tangshan city of north China's Hebei Province.

Among the relics unearthed in the 150 sq. m-plus area are a house and nine tombs which can be dated back 2,900 years. Local archeologists said the site would provide first-hand information for studies into the ancient culture in north China.

Also unearthed were more than 100 utensils made of bronze, stone, bone and china clay, which archeologists believe would fill a vacuum for studies into the ancient culture in the Tangshan area during the period between 2,100 BC and 221 BC.
