Macao Residents to Enjoy Cable TV in July

Residents in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China will be able to enjoy cable TV programs in early July.

Sources with the Macao Cable TV Co. Ltd. said at a press conference Friday that local inhabitants, with only a touch on a remote control, will enjoy around 40 high-quality TV channels with the aid of a digital decoder.

The channels will cover entertainment, news, sports, movie, fashion, among others.

A technician said that MCTV will use the latest digital technology to guarantee continuous and excellent signal transmission and reception.

MCTV is the first company in Macao to start cable TV business. A ceremony marking the inauguration of the company office was also held Friday.
