MOFTEC Holds Trade Training Courses in Northwest

China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) has recently launched two training courses on processing trade exclusively for China's vast western region, the International Business Daily reported on April 28.

The move is part of the efforts to get preparations for the implementation of China's west development strategy.

The MOFTEC-sponsored courses are aimed at boosting foreign trade of China's western region, during which professors and experts from the Foreign Economic and Trade University in Beijing have been invited to give lectures to some 100 managers from five northwestern provinces and autonomous regions on state trade policies and managerial and administrative skills.

According to the daily, the two courses were held in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu province, and Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, respectively.
