More Construction Agreements Signed for Protecting Mother RiverRecently, the second batch of key State projects related to the scheme for the "Protection of the Mother River" passed the final technological examination by a specialists group in Beijing and agreements on their construction were signed. These projects include: Wanjiazhai Reservoir Area Project of Jungar Banner in Inner Mongolia, Zhangjiakou Project of Hebei Province, Jiyuan Project of Xiaolangdi Reservoir Area in Henan Province, Liujiaxia Reservoir Area Project in Gansu Province and Yanchi County Project of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. This is another practical action taken by the leading group of the "Project for the Protection of Mother River" in its active efforts to implement the Party Central Committee's strategy for the large-scale development of China's western region and further arouse the attention of the broad masses of juveniles and the general public and mobilize them to pitch into the ecological construction of the western region.So far, there are a total of 13 projects related to the national "Project for the Protection of Mother River", covering a total planned construction area of 270,000 mu (15 mu = one hectare) and involving a total investment of 54 million yuan. |
