The Chinese Academy of Space Technology has set up an advanced training system to train skilled space technology personnel under which 438 skilled workers have completed their training courses in 10 years, thereby laying a good foundation for the academy to speed up satellite development and improve satellite quality.
In recent years, due to social environment influence, some young workers are reluctant to take up frontline job, and meanwhile for many elder workers have gone into retirement, there is already a lack of advanced technicians. To solve this problem, three technicians training centers have been set up by the academy to train skilled workers. Through training, the workers have enlarged their knowledge and enhanced their ability in sophisticated technological work. Now these trainees have become backbone forces in satellite research fitting. Of 438 trainees, 162 have been promoted as senior engineers, 9 senior technicians, including 5 who have been granted academic degrees as skilled elites for their outstanding meritorious work in overcoming hundreds of technical problems in advancing China's satellite development.
