Hu Jintao Urges to Select And Train Young CadresChinese Vice President Hu Jintao has urged to foster and select young cadres to train a large number of young leaders who are able to shoulder responsibilities and task in the new century.Hu, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ( CPC), made the remark Thursday at a national conference on training and selecting young cadres. The meeting was sponsored by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and presided over by department head Zeng Qinghong, who is an alternate member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and a member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat. In his speech, Hu stressed the importance and urgency of the work and said the training and selection of young cadres carries on China's socialist cause founded by the older generation of leaders and achieving long-term stability of China. Hu urged to select and promote excellent young cadres and called for further promoting g democracy and improving the system of examining cadres.
