FM Spokesman on Sino-Indian Border Issues

The 12th meeting of the China-India joint working group on border issues will be held next week, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi Thursday at a press conference.

He said that Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang will attend the meeting, adding that China hopes the mutual understanding between the two countries will be strengthened through the meeting.

China attaches importance to the mechanism of the joint working group and maintains that the mechanism has played a positive role in expanding common ground while reserving differences between the two countries, Sun said.

He noted that China believes the working group will continue to bring positive results with the improvement of relations between the two countries.
