Wives of Armymen Visit Nansha Islands

Wives of Armymen Visit Nansha Islands
In late March, 10 wives of armymen who are serving on the Nansha Islands formed a group to convey greeting to their husbands. They navigated for 1,400 km to the Nansha Islands to salute officers and soldiers guarding the islands and visit their husbands they missed day and night. During the more than 10-day navigation, despite the discomfort caused by seasickness, they landed in succession on six reef areas garrisoned by the Chinese army and brought the officers and soldiers books, fruits, flowers and other gifts. Seeing with their own eyes the working and living environments of their husbands had helped deepen their understanding of and support for their husbands. Everywhere they went was filled with their love for the Nansha Islands, and for the armymen.

Pictured here are Yao Xuehua and his wife adding a new sight to the "Garden on Sea" on the area.
