By year 2010, China will by its possession of intellectual property rights in major information technologies take a pivotal place among world information tech powers and will by its technology advances be at a level to match the developed countries, according to targets set by the gathering.
An unidentified attendee present at the conference was quoted as saying that China will turn itself into an information stronghold and a major exporter of information technologies known to the world.
