A group of outstanding young people gathered in the Chinese capital Wednesday to discuss several topics of interest to youth.

The group, including female volleyball players and bus conductors, shared their attitudes on such hot topics as " Challenge: Knowledge Economy and Globalization." "Choice: Establishment and Development," "Youth: Poverty and Fortune," and "Education: Opportunities and Possibilities."

The discussions, organized by the related local departments, are aimed at enabling youth to adapt better to a changing world, according to officials.

The discussion is expected to last as long as six months nationwide, and everyone is welcome to speak out on the topics.
