HK, Mainland Jointly Train Diplomatic Personnel

The Chinese University of Hong Kong and China's Foreign Affairs College signed an academic exchange agreement here Wednesday to jointly train diplomatic personnel.

Under the agreement, both sides will increase cooperation and exchanges in teaching and research in diplomatic study and training students of foreign affairs as well.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Kwok Siu Tong, director of faculty of arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, said the agreement is the first cooperation in training personnel of foreign affairs between Hong Kong and mainland institutions of high learning.

It also signifies that Hong Kong starts to participate in training personnel of foreign affairs for the country under the " one country, two systems" principle.
