Annual Meeting of China-Japan Society Exchanges Economic Information
The 20th annual meeting of the China-Japan Society for Exchange of Economic Information opened Wednesday in central China's Hubei Province.
In her letter of congratulation to the meeting, Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi wrote that the Society has played an important role in promoting economic cooperation between China and Japan. The letter notes that many valuable viewpoints and policy suggestions have been proposed by the Society over the past 20 years.
China needs to learn more economic knowledge and benefit more from international experiences, especially in the 21st century when facing challenges and opportunities brought by economic globalization, the letter said.
Consisting of Chinese and Japanese governmental officials, economic experts and enterprises, the Society was set up in 1981 with the purpose of carrying out studies on long-term and comprehensive issues on the economy in China and Japan.
