Renminbi Management Rules to Be Implemented in May First

Renminbi management rules will be implemented starting from May 1st this year. The rules are the first specific regulations since the founding of the People's Republic of China to comprehensively and systematically standardize management of Renminbi and marks an important milestone in China's monetary system construction.

The rules specify the status, design and printing, issuance and reclaiming, circulation and protection of Renminbi.
