Tibet, People's University in Beijing Join Hands
The People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region and the People's University of China signed an agreement Tuesday on training Tibetan students at the Beijing- based university.
According to the agreement, the People's University of China will provide training classes for Tibetan students to cultivate talent for the highland region.
The curriculum will focus on management of the national economy, finance, law, and taxation.
Over the next 15 years, the university also will enroll 30 graduate students from Tibet into a master's degree program. The university will also become involved in providing technical aid for teaching and research at schools and universities in Tibet.
