China Launches Website to Boost Employment

China Tuesday launched the first website in this coastal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province to provide employment resources information worldwide.

The website, www.worldwork.com.cn (Chinese) or www.world-work. com (English), with versions in English, Japanese, Korean and Russian, will inform Chinese and foreigners about the international employment market and manpower available.

"We decided to create the website more competitive and to provide more information on employment," said Yang Meng, director of the website.

He said Internet users can browse thousands of job opportunities via the website, which is connected with hundreds of international organizations, Chinese embassies in foreign countries and regions, foreign embassies in China, and firms providing the latest information on foreign job opportunities for Chinese job seekers.

More and more Chinese people have shown an interest in working abroad. Last year there were about 320,000 Chinese working overseas.
