CPPCC Vice-Chairman Meets Hong Kong Guests

Hu Qili, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met Tuesday in Beijing with a 28-member delegation of the Hong Kong Chamber of the Electronics Industry. Hu informed the Hong Kong guests of developments in the electronic market in inland China.

He said that the inland areas are open to businesses in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and he expects these Hong Kong businesses to enhance cooperation with enterprises in inland China to jointly open up the electronics market and common development.

Set up in 1980, the Hong Kong Chamber of the Electronics Industry has 360 members engaging in electronic manufacturing and electronic products exporting. It also provides current information on the international electronics market to promote information exchanges between Hong Kong and the rest of the world.
