Leaders of CPPCC National Committee MeetThe Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its 21st meeting for the chairman and vice chairmen in Beijing on April 25.It was presided over by Li Ruihuan, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. The meeting studied and approved the agenda for the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee, which is scheduled to be held in the second half of June. The main theme for this meeting is the national strategy to develop the remote western regions on a large scale. The meeting also approved the revision of the regulations on the work of secretary-general and vice secretary generals of the CPPCC National Committee. |
