Official: Commercial Websites Given No Right for News Coverage

In view of the fact some commercial websites in China hire network journalists with high pay, an official from Netnews Bureau of China Internet Information Center lately made it clear that commercial websites without traditional media background enjoy no right for news coverage.

The official has been quoted as saying that commercial websites in China so far have not been authorized to deal with journalism and that these websites can only do some editing and reprint news titles when these are not to be altered or cut out of their original context.
