China's Academy of Sciences to Expedite IndustrializationIt is reported that the Chinese Academy of Sciences will further promote industrialization of its high and new technologies aimed to be a bellwether in this field.Reports from the on-going high and new tech industrialization conference called by the Chinese Academy of Sciences says companies subordinate to the Academy will exert efforts to realize an annual sales value of 50 billion yuan and an annual amount of 5-plus billion yuan of taxes. To reach this goal, decisions have been made by the Chinese Academy of Sciences that some technology developing institutions are to be transferred into high and new tech companies and reforms by science and technology enterprises sped up to set up a modern enterprise system. ¡¡¡¡President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Lu Yongxiang said that industrializing science and technology results are the final end and fundamental aim of researches on science and technology, as well as criteria for success or failure of knowledge innovations. Lu made it clear that the Chinese Academy will further look on market demands, enhance the ability of enterprises for competition and combine knowledge, industrial capital and financial capital together to step up the development of China's high and new tech industries.
