Beihai Yinhe forges alliance with IBM

Beihai Yinhe Co. Ltd (0806.SZ) announced a strategic alliance with IBM for far- ranging cooperation in e-business.

Under the deal, both sides aim to tap the domestic e-market on the basis of a strong partnership in information exchange and technology application.

One of their central goals is to co-develop 2000e.com, a platform to offer business-to-business e-commerce to accomodate global growing need for online transactions.

On the back of a long-standing focus on new electronic components, automation in electric power network grids and computer, Yinhe said it is quite confident of its new role in e-commerce.

Analysts say the partnership is a significant move for Yinhe to sharpen its competitive edge in the information industry as an application service provider (ASP).
