Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Foreign Delegates Attending International Congress
Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing April 24 met with foreign delegates attending the International Congress on Traditional Medicines, which closed in Beijing on Monday.
Li said traditional medicine is one of man's great treasures, and each country has its own unique traditional medicine culture.
The just-ended international congress provided a good opportunity for all participating countries to exchange experience and information regarding traditional medicine, Li said.
The congress, jointly launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) and China's State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, attracted more than 2,500 health officials and traditional medicine specialists from 43 countries and regions.
