Aerospace Science and Technology Group (ASTG) has established a science innovation fund, the first of the kind in China, aiming to encourage scientific developments in the field.
Liberation Army Daily reported on April 24 that the fund should sharpen the innovative edge of aerospace industry through strengthening the cooperation between the aerospace industry and universities.
The money will go towards the research and development of new products, and will be granted to outstanding scientists.
