Taiwan's Tatung Invests $42 Million in Jiangsu

Taiwan's electronics giant Tatung Company has established two firms in the city of Wujiang, in Jiangsu Province in east China, with a total investment of US$ 42 million.

One firm, called Datung Electronics (Jiangsu) Co., was set up with US$ 30 million while the other, Dekun Plastic (Wujiang) Co. was launched with US$ 12 million.

The two firms are expected to manufacture computers and plastics with output value totaling two billion yuan (about US$ 240 million) annually.

Tatung has more than 300 varieties of electronics with state-of- the-art technology, turning out an annual output value of more than US$ four billion. It has more than 20 subsidiaries in Taiwan.
