First Quarter Sees Foreign Exchange Earning From Tourism up to US$3.6 billion
As shown in the latest statistics from the National Tourism Administration, China's foreign exchange earnings from tourism in the first quarter reached USD3.607 billion, a rise by 17.72% as compared to the same period of last year.
During the period, inbound tourist arrivals hit 19.1657 million, a rise by 15.52%, incoming overnight tourists reached 7.0675 million, a growth of 16.47%. The expenses of the latter in China came up to USD3.181 billion, occupying 88.19% of the foreign exchange earnings from tourism.
