Shanghai to Host Photo Show of Italy in Chinese Eyes

A photo exhibition featuring Italy in the eyes of Chinese people will be held September 23-25 at the Shanghai Art Gallery.

The three-day show will be jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, a federation of overseas Chinese in Italy, and a Sino-Italian exchange center.

The exhibition include three parts on the themes of "Chinese in Italy," "Italy in the eyes of Chinese," and "Italians in China." The photographs will focus on the life, study and work of Chinese people in Italy as well as their close friendship with Italians.

The friendship exchange between the two countries started 1,700 years ago. This year is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and Italy.

More than 130,0000 Chinese people live in Italy.
