Gabonese Minister Leaves Beijing for East China

Jean Ping, minister of state and minister of foreign affairs, cooperation and French countries of Gabon, left Beijing Saturday afternoon for Wenzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province.

The Gabonese minister, who arrived in Beijing Thursday for a week- long official visit to China, will also visit Shanghai after Wenzhou.

During his stay in Beijing, Ping was met by Chinese Vice- President Hu Jintao, and Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan. Hu told Ping on Friday that China is ready to explore new ways of cooperation in new areas with Gabon to further push forward Sino- Gabonese friendly relations.
