Chinese Companies Urged to Familiarize Themselves With Internet

Chinese companies must closely watch the latest international development trends in business management and be alert to the opportunities and challenges brought about by Internet technology, said Chen Jinhua, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Chen, also president of the Chinese Federation of Enterprises and president of the China Entrepreneurs Association, said that the Internet is making an enormous impact on traditional management ideas and practices. E-commerce is also making a huge impact on the economy.

Chen pointed out that Chinese companies should grasp resources provided by the Internet and develop online marketing and e-commerce.

"This is a issue that matters greatly to the future of Chinese companies and company leaders must try their best to enter this new field as soon as possible," he said.

He stressed that with the globalization of the world economy and China's entry into the WTO, Chinese companies must keep up with international businesses.
