Overseas Listing by Chinese Enterprises Opens up Second Battlefield in Europe

It is informed from the press conference of IELF2000 International Finance & Listing Symposium that institutions such as the AIM, TechMark and European Second Stock Market in London Security Exchange witness a good prospect in Chinese high-tech enterprises. The European TechMark market to be opened to them will stir up a new wave of listing by Chinese high-tech enterprises. It can be predicted that those Chinese high-tech enterprises with strategic insights to list abroad will open up a second battlefield in Europe.

As the third large stock exchange in the world and the biggest one in Europe, the London Security Exchange (LSE) has opened AIM and TechMark. The AIM, being an important member of LSE, provides attractive investment opportunities for small and steady growing firms, which will finally be absorbed into major markets. Many successful companies present in major markets all start from the AIM. Over 50 companies of AIM have been merged into the TechMark with one being included in FTSE index. Caroline Goodman, President of TechMark and Jane Zhu, President of International Business Development Department of LSE, will attend this week's finance forum and make key-note speeches on Asia-Pacific Development plan for AIM and TechMark.

Consisting of those of Milan, Paris, Brussels and Frankfurt with their business centered on electronic network trade the new European market strengthens the competitiveness of traditional security market in the new economic era.

With the total stock market value reaching 2.4 trillion Euro, the European Second Market merged by three exchanges of Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels on March 20 will be formally put into operation in this September. This newly established market becomes the second large security market next to LSE. The high officials and members of ESC and Dutch Amsterdam Stock Exchange as informed will also make feature reports, exhibition, and business talks on the development plan in China and Asia-pacific region.
