6th World Chinese Businessmen Conference to be Held in China
Sources from relevant departments say that the Sixth World Chinese Businessmen Conference will be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in the autumn of 2001. By then, some 3,000 representatives of Chinese businessmen from all over the world will attend the meeting. It is the first time for China to host such a large-scale world Chinese businessmen meeting.
This meeting is sponsored by the Chinese Chambers of Commerce of Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. The first conference was held in Singapore in 1991. So far, the other four such meetings have been held in Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada and Australia respectively. Chinese enterprises actively participated in the conference. Organizations like the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized large delegations to attend such conferences ever since the first one, which have promoted the friendly exchanges and cooperation between Chinese businessmen from various countries.
The preparatory committee for the sixth World Chinese Businessmen Conference has been set up, which in turn has established a working committee and a working department.
