Beijing To Auction 15 Medical Research Findings

Fifteen medical research findings will be auctioned off on May 11 at Beijing's Liangmahe Mansion as part of the Third Beijing International High-Tech Week, an official source said Wednesday.

According to the source, before formal auction, these research findings will be exhibited on May 8-10 at a related High-Tech Week trade fair.

The 15 research findings, selected from more than 200 high-tech achievements in medical science across China, are in the areas of chemical medicine, bio-products, traditional Chinese herbal medicine, medical apparatuses and equipment, and health-care products.

The auction is sponsored jointly by the Center for Medicine Research and Development under the Ministry of Health, the Beijing Municipal Committee for Trade Promotion, and the Jinmao International Auction Company.

According to recent statistics, only fewer than eight percent of the medical research findings in the country have been transformed into products due to the lack of research findings transfer channels.
