Ten-year Old Science Fiction Writer in Shandong

A ten-year old student in Yishui County in east China's Shandong Province has written a lengthy science fiction novel called -- "Story of Qiqi and Mimi".

Zhao Rundong is crazy about science fiction and fairy tales. He spends most of his after school reading, especially books by the well-known Chinese fairy tale writer Zheng Yuanjie. Before the "Story of Qiqi and Mimi", Zhao wrote his first science -fiction work entitled "Defeat The Despot Who Controls The World" in 1998.

Zhao started writing "Story of Qiqi and Mimi" during his summer vacation last year.

The novel will be printed by a local publishing house to coincide with International Children's Day on June 1.
