Taiwan Firm to Increase Investment in Chinese Mainland

Renowned Taiwan electronics and plastics giant Grace T.H.W. Group plans to double its investment in the Chinese mainland over the next few years.

This announcement was made by Winston Wong, chairman of the board of the group, at a ceremony held in Shanghai earlier this week marking the opening of the Shanghai Grace Fabric Company. The new company was jointly established by the group and two companies in Shanghai at cost of US$ 74.5 million.

The Taiwan group has so far set up eight enterprises in the Chinese mainland in the cities of Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Investment in these eight companies is projected to double as part of the group's effort to increase its mainland business. The companies' products are mainly sold in the Chinese mainland.
