More than 200 businesspeople from Taiwan together with other overseas investors attended a trade fair which opened on April 19 in Weifang, east China's Shandong Province. The 6th Shandong-Taiwan trade talks will last four days and is expected to help Shandong introduce more overseas investment to step up local industrial restructuring.
Shandong has listed more than 100 projects for overseas investors, which are involved in environment protection, agriculture and hi-tech. Weifang has selected 40 projects, estimated to cost US$ 100 million.
More than 450 projects were signed in the past five sessions of the trade fair, generating more than US$ 1.1 billion in overseas contracts.
