He visited Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, and Luoyang and Kaifeng with provincial leaders. During his stay, Li paid great attention to the work of local legislatures. Local people's congresses and local laws and regulations are playing a big role in promoting local development, he said. Li said the role of local legislators is extremely important, noting that over 3.2 million local lawmakers are representatives of people of different trades.
