Anshan Claims Sharp Increase in Steel Export
Anshan Iron & Steel Group, a leading company in China's heavy industry, has achieved an export volume of 280 thousand tons of steel in the first quarter this year, 12 times over the same period last year.
As an 80-year-old steel producer in China, Anshan has all along been run with up-to-date technologies to ensure new economic strides. During the "9th Five-year Plan" period, Anshan successfully undertook several technological reconstruction projects, upgrading its product structure from primary types to value-added ones. Up to now, Anshan's steel products have been exported to 11 countries, especially, its 1780-typed hot-rolled steel products are greatly welcomed in the United States, Japan, South Korea and Europe.
As the central government still carries out policies to adjust national steel output this year, Anshan Iron & Steel Group decides to further expand foreign markets to shun from production streamlining. Also Anshan has adopted various measures, ensuring its quality product and overall service to gain bigger share on the world market.
