CPPCC Nat'l Committee Vice Chairman Meets HK Business Delegation
Li Guixian, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with a business delegation from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in Beijing on April 18.
The 41-member delegation consists of leaders of major Hong Kong- based securities and futures companies and other notables.
During the meeting, Li spoke highly of the SAR government's determined measures to stabilize the local financial market and consolidate the territory's status as an international financial center.
There is a vast area in which China and Hong Kong can cooperate in developing securities and futures, Li said, urging the two sides to step up cooperation and work for common development.
