China Thanks All Countries for Support

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi said in Beijing on April 18 that the Chinese government wishes to express its admiration and thanks to all the countries which upheld justice for their support of China.

Sun made the remark following the report that China foiled the United States' anti-China attempt once again as China's "no-action motion" was adopted at the 56th session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.

The 53-member U.N. Commission adopted the Chinese motion 22-18 with 12 abstentions and one absent.

This is the ninth time since 1990 that the U.N. Commission rejected an anti-China draft resolution.
