Most Profitable Businesses in China: EconomistsChinese economists have predicted nine most profitable businesses, most of which are related to the commerce industry, in China in the future.An analysis by local economists on the Beijing Economic Daily quoted shows that sales of household electrical appliances will enjoy a continuous boom under the sustained growth of China's national economy. The returns of the investment in this sector will reach 10-35 percent. Telecommunications sector will be one of the largest business in China because of its great potential market. At present, the availability of phones to Chinese citizens now stands at a meager four percent, much lower than the world average of 10 percent. House interior decoration is expected to undergo a faster development as more and more people are expected to spend more money in this consumption area. The house interior decoration expenditure per household is 20,000 yuan (about US$ 2,410). The real estate sector will be more prosperous as individual purchase of housing will account for the bulk of the market. Also, sales agents and consultants are believed to be well-paid. At the same time, with more private cars going into homes of ordinary citizens, related businesses such as car maintenance and car washing will also be boosted. Other profitable businesses include tourism, fast-food industry, and products for the elderly and women.
