Shanghai CPC Official Meets Singaporean PM

Huang Ju, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, met in Shanghai April 17 with visiting Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.

Huang hailed economic and trade ties between Shanghai and Singapore as good and promising. He also said that Shanghai will further learn from Singapore's experience in residential construction and management.

Goh Chok Tong voiced the hope that Singapore and Shanghai will further cooperate with each other and contribute to economic prosperity and development in Asia.

The Singaporean prime minister and his entourage conclude visit to Shanghai and flied to Hong Kong Sunday evening.
