Beijing Guo'an embraced their first victory of the new season after five rounds with a well-deserved comeback 2-1 win over Yunnan Hongta on Sunday in the Chinese first division soccer league.

After three losses and one draw, Guo'an, one of the former elite side in the league, grabbed a precious three points to elevate to 11th place with 1-1-3 record on the standings.

Under newly named young coach Wei Kexing, Guo'an displayed great determinations with two goals in the second half after a 0-1 coming down in the 30th minute.

Yang Pu levelled in the 55th minute with a header and Wang Tao scored the winning goal, also his first goal in Guo'an, five minutes later.

"We were desperate for a home win and we got it," Wei said. " It's could be a turning point for the season."

Tianjin Taida maintained the leading position with a 2-1 win over Xiamen Xiaxin. Taida, which collected 11 points from three wins and two draws, held a goals advantage over Shanghai Shenhua, which beat last season's runners-up Liaoning Fushun 2-1 at home. Defending champions Shandong Luneng, which were defeated by Qingdao Hainiu 1-0, lost the ground to Sichuan Quanxin. Quanxin moved up to third with a 4-0 crash over Chongqing Longxin.

In Sunday's other games, Dalian Shide drew with Shenyang Haishi 1-1 and Jilin Aodong surrendered to Shenzhen Ping'an 1-0 in Changchun, Jilin Province.
