There is broad perspective for the bilateral cooperation in the new millennium, Jiang said during his meeting with Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation Shimon Peres and some Israeli businessmen.

He spoke highly of the achievement of Israel, saying that the Israeli people has built up a country full of green views on a desert region.

Jiang also briefed his Israeli guests on the current economic situation and social developments in China, as well as Chinese government's strategy of developing west China on a massive scale.
