Aid For Education In China's Western Regions

The Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and the State Council issued a circular recently calling for further support and aid to schools in China's western regions.

The success or failure of development the western regions depends, to a large extent, on improving human resources and qualified personnel.

The circular called on schools in relatively well-off regions in eastern China to provide support and aid to their counterparts in the west.

The circular also urged urban schools in western regions to offer support and funds in helping schools in rural and poor areas.
